The Cutting Garden Takes Shape

Hollyhock seedlings
The cutting garden is beginning to take shape. These holyhocks are doing very well. I also have some Asters (yellow and orange) and a few Cosmos seedlings. The Dahlia seedlings were mostly lost to a dry spell a few days ago – I have one left though. The other flowers in the new cutting garden will be sown directly in the soil next month; flowers such as Cornflower, Calendula, Nigella and more Cosmos. I have already started planting the Gladioli corms that I ordered in December. I put five in two weeks ago and another five will go in this week. I already have my eye on a nice oversized vase to fit all my lovely new flowers in.
