Lone Ranger

After a quick spin around the garden this morning I spotted this little guy sunning himself on a newly opened Blackcurrant leaf. I find the leaves on fruit bushes fascinating. They are always an interesting shape and usually a glorious colour too. If there was a design – it’s a pretty good one.

  3. Wonderful photo. I think you have two ladybirds there planning on making more. lol.. i adore ladybirds as they are beneficial insects to the garden :-)

  4. How can you tell the difference beyween our own ladybirds (good) and Harlequin ladybirds (bad) ? I think it’s that Harlequin ladybirds have two tiny white marks just behind the black head – is this right? I don’t want to squish the goodies so I don’t squish any but I don’t want the baddies. ??? Please.

  5. How bizarre! I found one this weekend perched on a raspberry leaf. Wish I’d taken a photo now. Love you blog by the way.
