The Big Move

The packers arrived yesterday and proceeded to cover everything in cardboard. There is literally nothing to sit on. The container arrives today.

  1. Shame they couldn’t leave you with a sofa (and a kettle!) for the day and pack that up on your move day.

I went garden visiting yesterday with someone I met in Seattle last year and she mentioned Portland. She know loads of the best nurseries (in fact Oregon appears to be THE nursery to the rest of the USA), so I’m sure I can get a list of them and gardening contacts and clubs from her if you need them.

Bon voyage and looking forward to your next chapter on MTP :)

  2. Have loved watching your Bath garden grow. Good luck in US.

  3. Wow, that’s the reality of moving, isn’t it? Must have seemed very strange (perhaps sad as well) to see your life packed away in boxes. At least they left that shiny red car for the boys to make a quick getaway! It looks to be a beautiful thing so I hope that will be covered in bubble wrap too. Good luck with it all, safe trip and smooth move, looking forward to future posts from across the water. xx

  4. Have just been through all this ourselves – we moved to our off grid farm on the 29th June this year. The cardboard boxes will remain until our garage and bedrooms are built onto our one-and-a-half roomed existing house. Do so hope that you will be able to empty your boxes quicker than mine :)

Exciting times ahead of you all – can only wish you the very best of luck and complete enjoyment of your b-i-g-g-e-r garden :)
