Here’s a little idea for your Christmas mantelpiece. It’s really simple, just some old wine bottles filled with twigs that have been sprayed silver. With alternate silver candlesticks and tea lights to give everything a nice Christmassy twinkle.
And… this idea was totally stolen, as all the best ideas are :)
…and you get to drink the wine first! Lovely idea – very beautiful mantlepiece too.
Very stylish! Did you wire the pine cones to the twigs before popping into the bottles? This would be a nice idea for all the twigs children collect on nature walks at this time of year!
Oooh this is pretty! I love Christmas decorations, especially around fireplaces. I have a big feather boa in peacock colours that I put across our mantlepiece, plus some candles in tall holders, (possible fire hazard…) – it looks lovely though!
Wow! Looks great! I have just put some candels on my mantelpiece, but was so “normal”! Now i can make it really amazing with your original idea! Thank you! I was also thinking to decorate, in some way, windows and curtins… Do you think is too much? Any suggestion? Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous, as always!
I love the effect and subtle light of candles and your idea is great. Let’s face it candles and Christmas go hand in hand.
Beautiful idea! I don’t have a mantel but this would look beautiful on top of my piano.
